Information collected
The information involved depends on the product and the features you use.
Xenrya products generally do not require a Xenrya account or sign-in.
- Support or website information: information you choose to provide when contacting Xenrya.
- Diagnostics: limited crash or performance information may be available through Apple or other platform services to help improve stability and reliability.
- Advertising and usage information: some Zyntria games may use Google AdMob and related advertising technologies. These advertising features do not apply to Water Adventure or Winter Adventure unless expressly disclosed in the applicable app.
- Location information: Water Adventure and Winter Adventure can use device location when you grant permission for GPS, mapping, route planning, nearby-condition, sharing, and other location-based features. Xenrya does not operate a server that stores a history of your Adventure app GPS locations.
- Adventure Log content: where Adventure Log is available, journal entries, original voice transcripts, cleaned narratives, tags, favorites, saved condition snapshots, and backup files are stored locally on the user's device unless the user chooses to export or share them.
Zyntria® Water Adventure
Water Adventure uses location-related functionality to provide features such
as live GPS position, nearby marine information, selected-location conditions,
mapping, route-planning context, Weather & Readiness, and Adventure Log
condition snapshots. Location access is controlled through Apple system permissions.
- You can allow or deny location access through iPhone Settings.
- GPS-related features may be limited when location permission is disabled.
- Selected locations or coordinates may be used to request relevant weather, marine, tide, chart, radar, or other environmental information from public or third-party data services.
- Offline map downloads are stored on the device for later use.
- Water Adventure does not require a Xenrya account and does not upload Adventure Log history to a Xenrya server.
- Location sharing, copying, phone calls, Adventure Log exports, backups, and other communication actions are initiated by the user.
- Water Adventure does not automatically contact emergency services or automatically transmit your location to Xenrya, the Coast Guard, 911, or other emergency services.
Environmental and marine information may come from public or third-party
data services such as National Weather Service, NOAA, Apple mapping services,
or other providers used by a requested feature. Those services can receive the
technical request information needed to return the requested data and operate
under their own privacy practices.
Zyntria® Winter Adventure
Winter Adventure can use location-related functionality to provide features
such as current position, destination search, weather and snow conditions,
terrain context, mapping, route-planning support, activity readiness,
Night Sky planning, saved trips, and safety-related features. Location access
is controlled through Apple system permissions.
- You can allow or deny location access through iPhone Settings.
- GPS, mapping, nearby-condition, route, and location-sharing features may be limited when location permission is disabled.
- Selected locations or coordinates may be used to request relevant weather, snow, terrain, hazard, mapping, radar, daylight, or other environmental information from public or third-party data services.
- Offline or saved map and route information is stored on the device when the user chooses to save supported content.
- Winter Adventure does not require a Xenrya account for its core app experience.
- Location sharing, copying, phone calls, trip exports, log exports, backups, and other communication actions are initiated by the user.
- Winter Adventure does not automatically contact emergency services or automatically transmit your location to Xenrya, 911, rescue organizations, or other emergency services unless the user explicitly initiates a supported handoff or sharing action.
Weather, snow, avalanche, mapping, terrain, daylight, and other environmental
information may come from public or third-party data services such as the
National Weather Service, avalanche-information providers, Apple mapping
services, or other providers used by a requested feature. Those services can
receive the technical request information needed to return the requested data
and operate under their own privacy practices.
Adventure Log, voice dictation, and Smart Cleanup
Zyntria® Water Adventure and
Zyntria® Winter Adventure can include Adventure Log,
a local-first journal that can combine the user's own notes with saved
date, time, location, environmental conditions, readiness information,
tags, favorites, and optional Saved Trip linkage.
- Local storage: Adventure Log entries are stored locally on the user's device. Xenrya does not receive, host, or store Adventure Log entries on Xenrya servers.
- Original transcripts: when voice dictation is used, the app can preserve the original transcription separately from an edited or cleaned journal narrative.
- Microphone and speech recognition: voice logging uses Apple-provided microphone and speech-recognition capabilities after the user grants the required permissions. Depending on device, language, operating-system behavior, and Apple service availability, speech recognition may involve Apple services and is subject to Apple's applicable privacy practices.
- Smart Cleanup: on supported devices, Smart Cleanup can use Apple's on-device language-model capabilities. If that capability is unavailable, the app can use a limited local cleanup path. Xenrya does not receive the journal text for Smart Cleanup.
- Historical condition snapshots: Adventure Log can store weather, marine, tide, visibility, wave, surf, daylight, readiness, and source-context values that were available when the entry was created. These snapshots remain on the device with the entry.
- Search and organization: Adventure Log search, filters, favorites, tags, and history browsing are performed against locally stored entries.
Adventure Log is designed so the user's journal content remains under the
user's control. Xenrya cannot read or retrieve locally stored Adventure Log
content from the user's device.
Adventure Log export, backup, import, and sharing
Water Adventure and Winter Adventure can allow the user to create external
copies of Adventure Log or trip-related content. These actions occur only
when initiated by the user.
- Individual entry sharing: a user can share a formatted Adventure Log entry and, where supported, a generated PDF through the iOS share interface.
- CSV export: a user can export structured Adventure Log history for spreadsheet or archival use.
- Complete backup: a user can export a structured Adventure Log backup file for later restoration.
- Import: a user can select a compatible backup file and restore supported Adventure Log records into the app.
- User-selected destinations: exported or shared files may be sent to Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, Mail, Messages, third-party apps, or other destinations selected by the user.
Once the user exports or shares information outside a Zyntria Adventure app,
the destination service or recipient may process that information under its
own privacy practices. Xenrya does not automatically receive a copy of exported,
shared, or imported Adventure Log or trip files.
Advertising and App Tracking Transparency
Some Zyntria games use Google AdMob to display and measure advertising.
These advertising features do not necessarily apply to every Xenrya product.
Water Adventure and Winter Adventure are not described as using advertising
technologies unless that use is expressly disclosed in the applicable app.
- If an app requests Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, you can allow or deny tracking.
- If permission is granted, advertising technologies may use the device advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalization or measurement.
- If permission is denied, advertising may still be shown without access to the IDFA.
- Google's User Messaging Platform may be used where required for regional advertising-consent choices.
You can review or change Apple's tracking permission in
Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
How information is used and shared
Information may be used to provide requested features, troubleshoot
problems, improve products, measure advertising where applicable, respond
to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Information may be processed by service providers that support a feature,
such as advertising, diagnostics, environmental-data delivery, mapping,
speech recognition, or other network services. Xenrya may also disclose
information when required by law or as part of a business transaction such
as a merger or asset sale.
For Zyntria® Water Adventure and Zyntria® Winter Adventure, locally stored
Adventure Log content, voice transcripts, exported backups, and historical
condition snapshots are not uploaded to Xenrya for storage or analysis unless
a future feature expressly discloses and requests that transmission.
Your choices
- Manage app permissions, including location, microphone, speech recognition, and tracking where applicable, through iPhone Settings.
- Use in-app consent controls when a product presents them.
- Choose whether to dictate, type, export, share, back up, or import Adventure Log content.
- Choose whether to send information through support forms or email.
- Delete Adventure Log entries within the app when that feature is available.
- Delete the app to remove locally stored app data that is not otherwise retained by a system service, exported by the user, or stored by a destination the user selected.
Children, security, and retention
Zyntria products are not intended to knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13 in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child
has provided personal information directly to Xenrya, contact us so the issue
can be reviewed.
Xenrya uses reasonable safeguards for information under its control, but no
system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information retained by Xenrya
is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in
this policy or as required by law. Adventure Log entries and other locally
stored Adventure app content are retained on the user's device until the user
edits or deletes them, removes the app, restores the device, or otherwise
manages that local data. Files the user
exports may remain wherever the user chose to save or share them. Third-party
providers determine retention for information they process under their own policies.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as Xenrya products, technologies, or legal
requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page.
